The Department of Civil Engineering and Industrial Technology consists of three divisions: Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Building Technology and Built Environment. The department has over 100 employees and conducts its research and education both at the Ångström Laboratory in Uppsala and at Campus Gotland. This position will be located at the Division of Building Technology and Built Environment in Uppsala.

The Division of Building Technology and Built Environment conducts research and education in the field of building technology and other construction sciences with a focus on energy in buildings and the built environment. We offer courses in building physics, building design, energy efficiency in buildings, energy systems for buildings, and infrastructure systems. About 20 people work with us, and we have several successful collaborations with industry and organizations. We have extensive experience in researching and teaching energy systems with a focus on the built environment. Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include teaching support within the course District Heating – Technology and Systems. Examples of tasks include participating in lab sessions to assist students with guidance, reading lab reports, and supporting seminars and supervising project work.

Qualifications

To be employed as a tutor, it is required that you are admitted to a bachelor's or master's program. Good communication skills and administrative proficiency are required.

Desirable/meritorious

We prefer that you are admitted to one of the engineering programs in Energy Systems or Systems in Technology and Society, and have completed one of the two courses District Heating – Technology and Systems (1TS309) or District Heating Systems (1TS335), but personal suitability weighs heavier than exact study orientation.

About the Position

The position is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12. The scope is 10% for half a year. Start date by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
